A simple crossover ceremony I have done is to have the Cub Leaders remove the Webelos neckerchef, one boy at a time, have the boys cross a bridge or the stage, and receive a Boy Scout neckerchef from the Boy Scout troop leaders.
In my hometown, many of the boys do not wear neckerchefs anymore so I have changed the ceremony somewhat. I now present the boys with their first patches for their uniform; the council strip, the world crest patch, and the troop numbers. I also explain what the patches represent so the boys understand why we use these patches on our shirts.
After the patch presentation I quickly explain what the new Boy Scouts have to look forward to during the next few months. It also gives the younger Cubs a preview of what they make look forward to when they become a Boy Scout.
Do you guys have a cool crossing over ceremony for my Webelos II's who are crossing to Boy Scouts. It can't be too long since we are looking at our banquet and not wanting to be there all night.
